Preventative Maintenance Technician

Self-directed reliable person to perform required equipment lubrication and maintenance operations in all work areas at our Merrill facilities. Safety is our top priority; comply with all company policies, procedures and standards

  • Possess a positive attitude and be a team player aligned toward solving challenges.
  • Performs lubrication and inspection duties as required with primary focus of all work performed on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Using Asset Essentials, manage maintenance solutions one work order at a time.
  • Writes accurate and concise equipment condition reports.
  • Performs specific preventative maintenance functions specific to each asset, using the manual, and creating/updating work instructions.
  • Maintains company equipment in a clean orderly condition. Report repairs and replacement needs in Asset Essentials and alert the Maintenance Supervisor of urgent matters.

Skills we expect:

  • Possess a positive attitude and be a team player aligned toward solving challenges.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated technical skill competence.
  • Prefer post-secondary Technical School experience related to maintenance technician.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

Candidates must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, have good attendance and previous work experience. • Physically able to perform work. • Lifting requirements of at least 50 lbs. • Ambitious and eager. • Professional and willing to help. • Be able to handle tasks to superior levels without supervision. • Enjoy taking on multiple different tasks throughout the day. • Ability to take on additional items all work areas at both Merrill, WI facilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical effort required in walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting over 50 lbs., while performing shop and miscellaneous cleaning. Must be able to work in a professional manner with co-workers, vendors and customers.
