Production Lead-Stamping

Production Leads directly backup the Production Supervisor’s role focused on the manufacturing process and monitoring how employees organize their workflows. This role is integral in a fast-paced production environment and can comprehend complex operations. Ensure the production process delivers quality products in the most profitable manner. This is an MMP leadership role and is expected to follow the MMP leadership expectations.

Active role in and support production. Advocate for maximum productive efficiency.
Set ups and electromechanical trouble shooting. Follow up with team for quality conformance.

Material handling and operational efficiency as needed. Support employee questions.
Ensure work area is maintained in a safe and clean condition to MMP standards.
Work as a team player and use your own initiative to problem solve and think critically adjusting schedules and reacting to changes in resources. Strive for continuous improvement.

Work seamlessly with your team and other work areas to collaboratively insure a timely and quality part is produced supporting our vision, “Excellence from Start to Finish”.

SKILLS WE EXPECT:

Lead by example the MMP vision
Honesty, integrity, attention to detail, excellent planning and organizational skills.
Exceptional mechanical aptitude, stay current in trends & new technology.
Experience with stamping, forming, tooling, and metal forming.
Assumes responsibility for quality workmanship and accuracy of assigned work every operation.
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards and team accountability to company needs.
Ensures compliance with safety, work policies, employee behavior, and regulations.
Maintaining communication between employees and the Supervisor to ensure procedure and policy expectations are well-understood with accountability.
Complete the MMP Lead program, (also called CCBS, Critical Core Business Skills)
Prefer complete the Supervisory 9 credit program.
Prefer an Associate Degree (Technical Focus, Business, Electromechanical, or Leadership).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, have good attendance and previous work experience. • Physically able to perform work. • Ambitious and eager. • Positive attitude and willing to help. • Be able to handle tasks to superior levels without supervision. • Enjoy taking on multiple different tasks throughout the day. • High School Graduate or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical effort required in walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. while performing shop and miscellaneous cleaning.
